Not much has been new.... I don't think? Work makes day to day kind of run together lol. I did get my hair re done and it's quite short. I like it though.
I do have a decent schedule where I work S-T and so when event season hits I'll just have to do some minor shift trades/ use vacation time. FINALLY.
All I need to get fully strapped into armor for SCA is a workable chest piece.Tams just finished up a Gorget (neck protection) for me. I need to get pictures of the things he's been making. It's pretty bad ass. I've been cantankerous about a piece he had but I figure in the end I can just cover up what I don't like with our house tabbard.
OH. I am starting Medifast in January. I'm looking forward to getting on a better schedule and conditioning my body more. More than Belly dancing has been providing for me anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE belly dancing. I feel like it is a good form of conditioning. It's been really cool to have people randomly come up to me at events that I don't know asking If I'm competing/ when I'm dancing. But doing 4-5 hours of that once a week isn't working to make me feel good about my body for SCA heavy fighting as of yet. I'll be taking a 6th month course on Egyptian/ Folkloric style which I'm really looking forward to. My only experience so far has been about 5 years of inconsistent classes of American tribal style (ATS) and fusion so it will be neat to learn new things.
